It was difficult to get too much sense out of Kingsway's words - he would often speak in quotations from plays, and rarely gave direct answers to questions.

Kingsway told us that he was the spirit of Henry Irving, Lawrence Olivier and Ralph Richardson, in the NTT.

He read a letter written by Ralph Richardson to "Mr Kingsway", again mentioning his rockets - and in particular, a "Purple Dragon". Ralph's letter commented on his missing hat, and after reading the letter, Kingsway said that he still had the hat.

Tom Bown asked if Dr Misnuneris were with him at the NTT, and Kingsway said not.

Kingsway implied that he was writing a book - not "Schemes and Estimates" - but a book that's continuing to be written, consisting of all mishaps in the performances of plays. Whenever things go wrong in plays in the real world, that's the NTT creeping in.

The impression that I got is that in previous years, something has been done to prevent the NTT having an influence on the real world - but that whatever that thing was, it is no longer being done. Perhaps it is something to do with Ralph Richardson's rockets? In any case, I was left with the impression that the NTT is starting to break down, and the constant pressure of having to perform is starting to take its toll on the shadow actors of the NTT - perhaps they will break through on the 2nd September?

There was also the hint that light can keep the NTT shadows from creeping into the real world. Again, perhaps this is consistent with the idea that the light of fireworks can keep them away?
